Trigger a SWUpdate Update¶

The SWUpdate service accepts the standard OTA NATS commands defined by Py ToloMEO; this guide covers only what is specific to the swupdate plugin. For the full command syntax and payloads, see the Py ToloMEO Trigger OTA via NATS guide.

What happens on install¶

Installing starts a transient swupdate@<timestamp>.service unit over the system D-Bus, monitors that unit to completion, and reboots the device on success. See SWUpdate Update Flow for why each step is shaped that way.
